OUR PANEL OF EXPERTS

Voted one of the 100 Most Powerful People in USA Hospitality, David Millili is the CEO of LodgIQ™. He brings almost three decades of acclaimed leadership experience in all aspects of the industry.

Before joining LodgIQ, he served as CCO at Nomadix, CEO of Runtriz, and CEO and board member of Pegasus Solutions, a global leader in providing technology and services to hotels and travel distributors. Prior to that, David founded and led Open Hospitality, which was acquired by Pegasus Solutions. He also co-founded Timeless Hospitality, one of the first e-commerce reservation platforms for independent hotels. David was a GM of two iconic New York City Times Square hotels and a professor at NYU. He is also the host of The Modern Hotelier podcast, NYU Incubator Mentor, and trusted advisor, working with brands like Laasie, Stayflexi, TipBrightly, Laso Experience, GoMoment, and Pharos Resources.

After spending four years touring as a trumpet player, Mark joined the hospitality industry in 2012 starting as a front desk agent at the Best Western Plus Sundial in Scottsdale, Arizona. After 2.5 years at the property level, he transitioned to the corporate environment working with Best Western Worldwide Sales, helping facilitate the corporate RFP process. Mark then moved to Revenue Management in 2016, first working as a Revenue Manager for over 100 BWH hotels in the state of Texas, and then took over as the Revenue Manager Trainer in December of 2019 where he now facilitates large classroom training and produces prerecorded online content.
Lori has been at Tapatio Cliffs for over a year, in the revenue management discipline for almost 19 years, and in the hospitality field for 24 years as of Valentine’s Day. Lori loves the strategy and puzzle aspects of revenue management and the people both in and out of the hospitality industry. She often refers to herself as the “Pandemic President” of our HSMAI Arizona Chapter in 2020 and now serves as the Co-Chair of the Auction Committee. When not at the resort or hospitality events, Lori can be found wrangling her two sons, watching Broadway shows at Gammage, hiking, or reading.
Brandon started his hotel career in 1998 at the Arizona Biltmore in the Reservations Department. He became a Director of Revenue at the Arizona Biltmore in 2008, right after the Global Financial Crisis. Brandon then moved to Maui in 2018 to be the Director of Revenue Management at Grand Wailea. He transitioned back to Phoenix in September 2020 and has been in a complex role between Arizona Biltmore and Grand Wailea ever since. He has been a Hilton team member for 25 years. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife of 24 years and his 7 kids with ages that range from 7-20. He loves working out, running (currently training for another half marathon in Maui) and utilizing the team member travel program with Hilton, especially when going on road trips.

With over 20 years in the hospitality industry, Victoria has spent the majority of that in Revenue Management.  From her first role as a Groups Rooms Coordinator at The Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort she learned that Revenue Management was the place for her.  Working with Starwood Hotels she made her way through the Revenue Management Trainee Program at The Phoenician Resort, eventually listening to the words of her mentor, “You will not stay here forever,” she made her way to other brands and management companies.  With experience she has gained through numerous roles what she holds dearest are the lasting friendships she has made across the industry. Currently she is Regional Director of Revenue Management for Peachtree Group- Hospitality Management.  She oversees a collection of hotels for the Southwest Region (Arizona and Texas).  Her favorite part of her role is working alongside her regional counterparts as they strategize to exceed revenue budgets for each of their hotels.  Victoria also found a deep connection with HSMAI-Arizona as she has held board positions for the past 3 years.  She has primarily focused on Collegiate Relations working with the state Universities and Colleges to engage Hospitality students with the Association.  She just recently was appointed to Director of Finance.  In her free time, she can be found catching live music around the valley or many times creating an out of state adventure to see a show.

HOST VENUE:

We found this buried treasure, a time capsule rich in early mid-century history. We couldn’t just kick sand on it, and unsee it, so we gave it new life! Described by Sunset Magazine as “resurrected as one of the coolest boutique hotels that Arizona has to offer”, the Egyptian was brought back to life to inspire the creative types, the foodies, and the music lovers who like to connect and surround themselves in originality. Downtown Phoenix’s latest play station and overnight hub features 47 retro modern rooms, (and an airstream), Chilte, the highly lauded food pop-up turned must-try restaurant, and Egyptian Live, a 250 seat outdoor cocktail bar where folks can imbibe on inventive cocktails, savor the tastes of Chilte-to-go, and enjoy live entertainment. Did we mention there will be games? It’ll be a Gas.

We’ve done a whole lot more than replace the 1950’s spring mattresses and coin operated vibrating beds. We’ve created modern crash pads with a nod to their past! Rooms include Free WIFI + Marshall Bluetooth Speakers + microwave + Dinette Table and fridge + rain shower heads + mini patio, and more.

Featured in Bon Appétit as “one of the most anticipated restaurant openings of 2023”,  Chilte brings an elevated food truck culture to the Egyptian! Chilte combines their independent spirit and wildly imagined ingredients to bring your food experience to a whole new level. Check it out at https://www.egyptianmotorhotel.com/.
